Azure Adoption, Chrome Bugs, MS Office, Geothermal Energy, RC Excavator Spiceworks OriginalsĪzure pulls in front of AWS in public cloud adoptionĪzure appears to be gaining popularity and taking the lead for admins of public cloud servers. It's like a registry entry isn't getting updated. The bug (I suggest) is that Word thinks I opened it read-only "last time", when in fact I didn't - that was once, several days ago. Is that any clearer? I don't have a problem being told that somebody else has it open. The next time I open that same file, it again asks me.That was two times ago and I've had it open in edit mode since then. This is the point at which it shouldn't even ask me the question because it wasn't "last time" that I opened it read-only. It again opens in edit mode, I can again edit it and save changes. I again say No because I want to edit it. But Word again asks me if I want to open it read-only like I did that first time. The next time I come to open that same file, again nobody else is using it.It opens in edit mode, I can edit it and save changes. Word asks me if I want to open it read-only like I did last time. Next time I come to open that same file, nobody else is using it.The first time I try to open the file, somebody else has it open so Word offers to open a read-only copy - that's fine, no problem.OK folks I seem to have confused you as to what the problem is.
